Beth Twigs

24/25 Choreographer

Beth Twigs is a Choreographer, Teacher, Researcher, Director, Professor and Producer. She spent the majority of her professional dance career dancing with Ballet Austin in Texas and is now currently based in Seattle, WA. Beth is the founder and director of the company The Gray through which she has presented and been commissioned for work throughout Seattle and in Texas, New York and New Mexico. Beth recently received her MFA in Dance at the University of Washington where she focused on her research in gender-based violence, choreographed on both undergraduate and graduate students, and taught over twelve courses in the Dance Department. She was recently hired as an Assistant Professor at the University of Wyoming where her focus is on teaching ballet to undergraduate students. As a choreographer, educator and researcher, Beth’s current interests lie in dancer advocacy, the power of the ‘voice,’ interdisciplinary explorations, and imaginative world-building.
